"IOM" one design

These two identical yachts were built based on Bob Sterne's "International One Meter" design "Celebration"

The client wanted a beautiful, superb sailing RC model yacht, not necessarily conforming to any class rules, but lots of fun to sail and beautiful to look at. I redesigned the bow and transom profiles and cockpit area to reflect these goals. The boats were built to full racing specs with Bob's carbon fibre fin, rudder and sails. The hulls are fir, epoxy and fiberglass, and the decks are red cedar with mahogany trim.
